As a Clinical Psychologist with three decades of specialized expertise in psychological testing and counseling, Bhawana Kerkar has been the visionary driving force behind Umang since its inception in June 2000. She provides vital leadership and dedicated, day-to-day operational oversight for the organization. Her highly distinguished career includes partnering to provide crucial services to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Special School section and serving as a trusted Consultant for Mahindra & Mahindra.

Mr. Dattaprasad V. Kerkar

Dattaprasad Kerkar serves as the Director and India Head of L.S. Spectrum Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of LS telcom AG Germany. As a founding partner alongside Bhawana Kerkar, he remains deeply committed to guiding the organization and actively supporting Umang’s ongoing operations and overarching strategic vision.a.

Mr. Rajendra Dattaram Kordey

Trustee


An Advocate at the Mumbai High Court specializing in housing and redevelopment, Rajendra Kordey brings invaluable legal expertise and strategic counsel to Umang’s Governance Board. A dedicated community leader, he also serves as the President of Dharavi Bachao Samiti and is the esteemed editor of Dharavi Times.

Mr. Sudhakar Pandurang Sonawane

Sudhakar Sonawane is the Managing Director of Keerti Computers, successfully spearheading the largest network of computer education centers across Mumbai and Thane. His extensive experience in educational leadership and large-scale operational management greatly enriches the board's organizational capabilities.

Mrs. Ratna Kunal Mehta

Ratna Mehta is a practicing Astro-Vastu Architect and Theta Healer who holds a postgraduate degree in Social Development Management from SPJIMR. She leverages her dynamic professional background and strategic insight to actively drive Umang’s critical fundraising initiatives, community networking, and vital corporate sponsorships.

Mrs. Heena Jayesh Tanna

Heena Tanna serves as a Director at the Shree Sai Group of Companies in Kandivali. Widely recognized as a highly motivated entrepreneur, sports enthusiast, and dedicated humanitarian, she brings profound passion and active, hands-on involvement in numerous philanthropic initiatives to the Umang team.
